Balmain Hair appointed Eline de Knoop its new chief executive officer.
With this strategic leadership change, Balmain Hair Group BV is entering a new phase of growth and evolution as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024.
“When I entered this company 15 years ago, it was completely different,” said de Knoop. “Over the past 15 years, we have achieved so many new things as a team. The company has transformed from the extensions business to a high-end luxury hair company with tremendous success worldwide. Every year, we manage to improve, achieve new successes, and challenge ourselves to reach the next level. I am extremely proud of the results we have achieved together. Taking on this role is an incredible honor for me, and I eagerly look forward to the future with great joy and enthusiasm.”
This leadership transition marks an important milestone for Balmain Hair, as the company moves from being a family-owned company to adopting a new corporate structure. Steward Guliker, the son of Dick Guliker, the founder of Balmain Hair, has decided to step down. The decision was made with careful consideration for the company’s continued growth and global expansion.
Steward steps back to the role of chairman of the board, and in that capacity will continue to be involved with Balmain Hair.
“We are delighted to welcome Eline de Knoop as our new CEO,” said Steward. “Her proven leadership capabilities and deep understanding of the brand make her the ideal candidate to guide Balmain Hair into its next chapter of growth and success. As we embark on this new phase, we are confident that Balmain Hair will continue to thrive and innovate under Eline’s direction.”
