Comments: Spartan Chemical Company, Inc. has been a recognized leader in the formulation and manufacture of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market since 1956. A proud US employer, Spartan manufactures high quality products from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Maumee, OH and sells both domestically and internationally through a selective network of distribution.
This spring, Spartan added four new products to the popular Lite ‘n Foamy antibacterial hand care line. The range now includes two foaming, antibacterial hand sanitizers, which can be used without water, making them perfect for hallways, classrooms, stairwells and other areas where no sinks are present. They also include two fragrance-free products—a soap and a sanitizer—that are NSF-certified and Kosher-certified for use in food processing and service areas.
“We are especially pleased to manufacture our first foaming hand sanitizers,” said John Swigart, president of Spartan Chemical Company. “Because of the success of the Lite ‘n Foamy line, we know our customers will appreciate the convenience and economy of being able to use either soap or sanitizer products in the popular Lite ‘n Foamy dispensers.”
All four of the new products are triclosan-free and alcohol-free.
Also this year, Spartan won the 2013 Network Member Choice Award and ISSA announced Spartan Chemical Company as a winner of the 2013 Best Customer Service Award.
This year brought several personnel moves at the company. It promoted both Chuck Moody and Monte Mooers to regional manager positions.
Spartan also promoted Sandy Riggs to the role of divisional manager of the West Coast Division, having previously served as regional manager of the Omaha region with Spartan for the past six years. Prior to that, Riggs worked as a general manager for a Spartan distributor.
Meanwhile, Bucky Snell joined the company as regional manager of the Cincinnati region. He most recently worked for Lupin Pharmaceuticals based out of Balitimore, MD as a sales representative in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. Matt Ward joined the company as regional manager for the Indianapolis region, having previously held the position of product category manager at Mailender, Inc. in Cinnicinati.
In new product news, the company bulked up its CleanCheck training system recently with the CleanCheck Lodging/Hospitality module.
“Traditional training methods result in forfeiting an experienced worker’s high productivity in order to train new staff,” says John Schauff, director of training at Spartan Chemical Company. “With CleanCheck, we train the housekeeping staff for you with interactive, multi-media content that demonstrates and reinforces proper procedures and standards, allowing new employees to hit the ground running, while keeping experienced resources on the job—improving overall productivity.”
Training components are provided in both English and Spanish.
