The accolades and responsibilities keep on coming for Melanie Healey. Already a star in the Procter & Gamble universe and already on the list of the most powerful women executives in the U.S., Ms. Healey was named group president, North America, effective Oct. 1. She's switching jobs, in part, with Steven Bishop, who will head up P&G’s global feminine care business.
Ms. Healey had been group president of P&G’s global feminine and health care since 2007. But Thomas Finn, the president of global health care, will assume responsibility for the health business.
Ms. Healey, a native of Brazil, joined P&G in 1990 after working as a brand and marketing manager at Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Bishop joined P&G in 1984 as an assistant purchasing manager in its U.S. foods division. He has been president of P&G North America since July 2008.
