It may be celebrating its silver anniversary, but Lipotec shows no signs of slowing down. The company recently opened a US office in New Jersey, is expanding its presence in all regions of the world, and is rolling out several new peptides designed to relieve skin disorders that are caused by an exaggerated inflammatory response.
For example, new Telangyn tetrapeptide decreases the appearance of facial redness and telangiectasia by reducing the levels of interleukins (IL-6 and IL-8) that are induced by 37-amino-acid peptide (LL-37). After applying a cream that contained 2% Telangyn for four weeks, erythematic intensity decreased 19.2%, skin rednessdeclined 17.7% and skin roughness fell 7.5%.
A new hexapeptide, Delisens, promises to attenuate neurogenic inflammation and relieve itch in sensitive skin. The peptide down regulates Proteinase-Activated Receptor 2 (PAR-2)-induced release of pro-inflammatory mediators. Moreover, in tests, leg skin hydration increased 34%, to reduce dryness and scaling, while improving smoothness, softness and suppleness.
Finally, Hyanify is an exopolysaccharide derived from a marine gamma-proteobacteria strain, that has been shown to reduce nasolabial folds in only 14 days. Subjects applied a cream containing 1% Hyanify Solution twice a day. After 28 days, nasolabial folds were reduced 18.5%.
