The Fragrance Foundation will honor Bernd Beetz, former chief executive officer of Coty, Inc. at this year's 13th Circle of Champions dinner on Thursday, October 11th. The Circle of Champions Award is presented annually at a dinner ceremony held in honor of an individual, selected by the Board of Directors, who has made a notable impact on the fragrance industry.

"He has led an incredible expansion of the Coty fragrance division into the amazing powerhouse it is today. Harnessing superstar celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Calvin Klein, fashion icons like Bottega Veneta and ever-daring Playboy, Mr. Beetz revitalized Coty's fragrance portfolio, galvanizing fans and enticing consumers using every modern method of communication, while working retail magic with outstanding success."

In just 10 years, Beetz has amplified the organization's presence through vast industry insight and forward-thinking, entrepreneurial practices. Under his leadership, Coty has initiated precise, coordinated launches that have led to double-digit sales growth and a doubling of profitability. He has helped the company gain an unyielding leading position in the fragrance, and nail categories. Beetz has also revitalized the Coty celebrity fragrance category through expert leadership. He has expanded the Coty brand portfolio through licensing deals with well-known celebrity, designer and lifestyle brands, such as Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Calvin Klein, Bottega Veneta, Sally Hansen and Playboy.
Prior to joining Coty, Mr. Beetz oversaw the perfume and cosmetics division at Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey another leading global organization. Beetz solidified his career in marketing with a more-than 20-year tenure at Procter & Gamble, serving as managing director of P&G's businesses in Switzerland, Italy, Turkey and Germany. Mr. Beetz is a graduate of the University of Mannheim in Germany where he studied economics and marketing. He is fluent in German, English, French, Turkish and Italian, and conversational in Spanish.
