Bentley Laboratories, a specialist in the formulation and outsourced manufacturing of products for the beauty and over-the-counter pharmaceutical industries, has added Alliance Packaging Group Inc. to its expanding manufacturing platform. Based in Saukville, WI, Alliance is a leading personal care formulator and contract manufacturer that specializes in lip balm and lip care products for well-known brands and distributors. A purchase price was not disclosed.
“This is a highly complementary addition to Bentley,” said Bentley CEO Brian Fitzpatrick. “Alliance brings a slate of blue-chip customers, a strong focus on quality and GMP, and expands Bentley’s product manufacturing capabilities with its lip balm and lip care production. The acquisition enables us to join forces to allow our customers to benefit from a broader solution.”

Bentley Laboratories has a 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Edison, NJ. Bentley formulates, manufactures and packages a wide range of cosmetic products within the skin care, hair care and bath and body markets. The product range includes creams, lotions, gels, skin treatment products, aftershave, deodorants, cologne/perfumes, liquid soap, powders, shampoos, conditioners, relaxers, styling gels and hair sprays. Bentley’s services include product development which includes market trend analysis and state-of -the-art innovative formulations. According to the company, Bentley has manufacturing and filling equipment to meet the production requirements of mid-sized to large batch products, providing the flexibility to produce a broad range of products in various quantities, sizes and packaging. The company maintains a well-documented and detailed quality control standard that begins with the proper product formulation and continues through quality assurance tests for each batch manufactured.
