The beauty industry has been shaken by the death of James John (Jim) Slowey who was born on June 27, 1959 and passed away from natural causes on April 14, 2018, in Ft. Lauderdale. He spent nearly his entire career at Baralan, 30 years, first as a sales representative in New York, then as manager in the Los Angeles office, and most recently as vice president of sales for the domestic corporation as a whole.
Slowey was an amicable “fixture” at nearly all industry trade shows and events, where he loved to speak about Baralan’s many capabilities in the cosmetic packaging business. His years of experience were evidenced by his strong technical background and unparalleled skills in the sales and marketing end of the cosmetic packaging industry.
“Jim was really a family member, we grew up together. We had much more than a working relationship," said Roland Baranes, CEO, Baralan.
Services will be held on May 4th at 11am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Ft. Lauderdale.
