The Fragrance Foundation welcomed Kate Oldham, SVP, GMM, Beauty, Jewelry and Home of Saks Fifth Avenue, as the 2018 Circle of Champions honoree. The Fragrance Foundation hosted its annual Circle of Champions dinner on Nov. 1 at The Park Hyatt Onyx Room in New York City. Induction into the Circle of Champions is an honor bestowed by The Fragrance Foundation on one executive annually who has deeply impacted the fragrance industry.
Oldham has developed Saks into a leader in the beauty category and a headquarter business for cosmetics, luxury skin care, fragrances and wellness. She is passionate about finding new ways to provide services to the Saks customer, particularly through new and innovative products and treatments, which play a vital role on the new beauty floor of the Saks New York flagship, which opened in May 2018. Oldham has spent her entire career at Saks, beginning on the merchant track as a buyer, and later VP, Divisional Merchandise Manager in cosmetics and fragrances, and Regional VP of store merchandising. In February 2014, Oldham was appointed Vice President, General Manager of the New York flagship, and was named SVP, GMM, beauty and fragrances in July 2016, adding jewelry and home in 2017. She has been a long-standing member of The Fragrance Foundation Board of Directors.
Oldham was presented the award by Marc Metrick, President, Saks Fifth Avenue, who applauded “her incredible vision, her dedication, her hard work and her collaborative approach both inside and outside of Saks.” Peggy Elsrode, SVP Luxury North America, Coty, and Nicholas Munafo, President North America, LVMH Fragrance Brands & Givenchy Beauty, also shared stories about their years of collaboration with Oldham.
“Kate is the perfect Champion to celebrate based on her tremendous passion for fragrance and the exceptional relationships she has built within the fragrance community,” said Linda G. Levy, president of The Fragrance Foundation.
