In a letter to members of the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD), President Ken Marenus noted that group is the midst of the most challenging of situations. It is developing information to take to elected officials in both Washington and the states. Marenus urgest members to complete a short survey.
The data collected will help ICMAD make the point to its political representatives as to the potential dire straits in which this industry finds itself.
"We understand that some of the questions may be difficult to contemplate or answer," said Marenus. "Still we hope that you can move forward and complete the survey so we can develop an accurate representation of our current situation."

All responses are confidential, and that one important use of the data will be to educate congress on the needs of the industry, said Marenus, who noted that all information will be presented in a consolidated form and not associated with any one company or person.
