Yankee Candle has named its highly anticipated, third annual Scent of the Year—Discovery. The Newell Brands company is a leader itself within the home fragrance sector.
Available for purchase in time to celebrate International Fragrance Day on March 21, Discovery brings together a combination of fragrances from around the globe, igniting “renewed feelings of discovery, energy, connection, and desire to fully embrace new experiences and cultures.”
"Working closely with fragrance and trend experts, we found that people around the globe are craving travel and exploration now, more than ever before," said Anna Whitton, VP of marketing for Yankee Candle Company. "Knowing that travel may still be out of reach for many this year, the 2021 Scent of the Year, Discovery, was designed to help people fulfill the universal desire to discover new cultures, make new memories, and embrace new connections from the comforts of their own homes."
Making its debut in Yankee Candle's new Signature Collection Large Tumbler, Discovery is wrapped in a boldly colored, Moroccan-inspired pattern that provides a luminary effect when lit.
The candle blends a complex and delicious number of fruits and spices, including red ginger, starfruit, mango, passion fruit and vanilla spice.
Discovery, will be available during a Yankee Candle Rewards early access event online at YankeeCandle.com starting on Tuesday, March 16. Early access will be eligible to all current Yankee Candle Rewards members and those who sign up during the event. Discovery will be widely available for purchase on March 21 at Yankee Candle retail stores, YankeeCandle.com, and on select retailer sites, including Walmart.com, Kohls.com, and BedBathBeyond.com.
