The Monat Gratitude Foundation, the philanthropic entity of Monat Global Corp, supported local Las Vegas nonprofits through volunteer projects and donations during the company’s annual reunion event.
Monat’s independent distributors, or market partners, dedicated one morning of their incentive trip to volunteering with two local organizations. Street Teens assists homeless, abandoned, and at-risk youth in the Las Vegas Valley, and The Just One Project provides food, resources, and services to the southern Nevada community.
This is the sixth consecutive year Monat has held its annual event in Las Vegas.
“We love coming to Las Vegas every year and volunteering,” said Lu Urdaneta, Monat Global chief culture officer and Monat Gratitude Foundation CEO. “Making a positive impact in the community is meaningful annual tradition for attendees. Our Market Partners recommend nonprofits, donate goods and funds, and participate in hands-on activities. We are so proud of their commitment to doing good and touching the lives of real people.”
In honor of International Women’s Day, Monat volunteers delivered feminine hygiene products to Street Teens – loading two vans with donations – and then placed them in gift bags for distribution to girls. Additionally, 100 Monat volunteers assembled food boxes to be delivered to home-bound seniors and organized the food pantry at The Just One Project.
Participants donated $25 each, which was matched by Monat. The foundation presented the nonprofit with a $5,000 check during the activity.
