Infinity Sun uses natural ingredients to bridge the gap between sunless tanning and sound skin care.

In an age of heightened concern about sun-induced skin damage, it’s no wonder why sunless tanning has become more than just a red carpet commodity. Spray tanning is not only quick and convenient; it produces results that look as passable as the real deal. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, most spray tanning formulations typically rely on dihydroxyacetone (DHA) to provide a five to seven day skin color boost, or tyrosine to stimulate the skin’s melanin formation. But the custom tanning solution from Los Angeles, CA-based Infinity Sun, claims to be the “world’s first anti-aging and all-natural” sunless tanning technology that can give pale skin a lasting, natural-looking, radiant glow in about three minutes. What’s more, Infinity Sun’s ingredients were specially chosen to be good for the skin too.
Launched two years ago, Infinity Sun sunless tanners employ natural antioxidants and botanicals such as ginger, ginseng, willow and other proprietary ingredients. “We use all natural ingredients; everything is derived from nature such as: our sunless tanners come from sugar cane and we use only purified water in our formulations as DHA is an extremely volatile ingredient that can be transformed with minerals, metals and the like,” comments Infinity Sun’s Veronique Munro, CEO and founder. “Further, our solutions are enriched with aloe, fruit and plant extracts that deliver a healthy, all-natural looking, stunning sunless glow like no other.”
Each Infinity Sun treatment is customized with a mixture of anti-aging and sunless tanning formula based on the client’s skin type. The individualized formula is applied with a handheld spray gun, powered by a High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) Turbine technology that atomizes the solution into a fine mist to provide precise, natural-looking and long-lasting coverage that lasts for seven to 14 days.
The company offers two tanning treatment options. The Infinity Clear Tanning Solution was designed for clients who wish to enjoy a simple but effective sunless tan without an added instant bronzer. The tan gradually develops to its full color intensity within 12 hours. The Infinity Bronze Tanning Solution also delivers a gradual tanned look to the skin, but additionally delivers an immediate glow to the skin via an instant bronzer that’s formulated with crushed walnut shell extract.

“Our Normalize Elixir prepares the skin to evenly absorb and activate our proprietary anti-aging sunless tanning solution and further neutralizes the oils that could be prohibitive to the process,” explained Ms. Munro. “The Anti-Aging Elixir adds a further layer of hydration to the skin after the sunless tanning treatment process which then leaves the skin looking younger, more vibrant, more toned and supple for the ultimate youthful bronzing glow.”
The company’s Enhancement range includes an Infinity Exfoliate, an exfoliant that removes dull, dead skin cells and polishes the skin using natural, non-abrasive pineapple fruit enzymes; Infinity Extend, a “super-hydrating” lotion containing antioxidants, botanicals and DHA to keep the skin soft and silky-looking between tans; Infinity Extend With Shimmer, a super-hydrating lotion containing antioxidants, botanicals, DHA and mica particulates that impart an “added touch of shimmering radiance; and Infinity Sunless Tanning Aerosol, an anti-aging, self-tanning aerosol spray enriched with antioxidants, vitamins A and E, and seven skin-essential oils. Infinity Sun Aerosol is alcohol-free and features a vanilla fragrance for an aromatherapeutic effect. The spray applications and formulated and conveniently packaged for use on the face, neck and décolleté areas, or for touching up fading areas in between Infinity Sun tanning sessions.
Infinity Sun products are sold internationally into health- and beauty-related businesses that provide indoor tanning; beauty salons, nail salons, spas, med-spas, resorts, cruise ships, fitness centers, dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons.
