The wait is finally over for Disney’s highly-anticipated summer blockbuster “The Little Mermaid.”
With the live-action film’s official premiere today—a fantasy and musical starring Halle Bailey based on the iconic 1989 animated Disney motion picture by the same name – beauty brands want just as much to be a part of consumers’ beauty regimens as Ariel willed to be a part of Prince Eric’s world.
Carol’s Daughter, the exclusive haircare partner of “The Little Mermaid” re-released three hair collections with limited-edition packaging in honor of Disney Princess Ariel (plus a comb and brush) so fans can achieve those mermaid locks.
To make their fingernails sing, nail art brand Nailtopia partnered with Disney 100 to introduce a nail polish collection encapsulating all Disney princesses. Ariel’s hue is a sea blue homage to the ocean. Color Street, which makes nail strips with 100% nail polish for an impressive salon-fresh manicure in minutes, has recently released a mermaid collection.
Carol’s Daughter Re-releases Hair Care Collections with Limited Edition Packaging
To help fans achieve Bailey’s mermaid mane, the haircare brand re-released three collections, Black Vanilla, Wash Day Delight and Goddess Strength. All feature limited-edition packaging in honor of Disney Princess Ariel. Carol’s Daughter is the exclusive partner of Disney’s The Little Mermaid 2023.
The Wash Day Delight Aloe Shampoo and Conditioner offers six times more shine, according to the brand. The brand will also offer a Black Vanilla Kit, featuring its Moisture and Shine Leave-In Conditioner with a complimentary detangling comb and brush, as well as a Goddess Strength Kit, featuring the Divine Strength Leave-In Cream with comb and brush to help users strengthen and fortify their "mermaid" locks, available in stores and online nationwide.
"I am ecstatic to celebrate the upcoming release of 'The Little Mermaid,'" said Lisa Price, founder of Carol's Daughter. "This is a full circle moment for so many Carol's Daughter fans who grew up watching the film, and who will now see themselves in the characters on screen – a moment in which Carol's Daughter is proud to be part."
Nailtopia x Disney 100 Collection
Vegan nail polish brand Nailtopia once again partnered with Disney (which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary since its founding in 1923) to create a Disney Princess Collection of nail polishes that personify each of the Disney princess characters. The plant-based hues are named for each – Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Moana, Rapunzel, Snow White, Tiana and Ariel, which is a royal blue shade. Each retail for $10 at Ulta.
Color Street’s Mermaid Collection
The nail polish strip brand encourages consumers to channel their inner mermaid and dive into the iridescent viral nail trend of summer, without a lengthy trip to the salon.
Aquatic Behavior is a teal blue and violet purple duochrome metallic shade balancing sparkle and shine. Waterfall’s Edge is a blue-to-green gradient with a shimmery sky-blue base. Glitter Days Ahead is an amethyst and holographic glitter. Shangri-La brings is a silvery holographic glitter reminiscent of Ariel’s glittery dress as she emerges from the sea when reuniting with Eric on land. High Tide Deep mimics the majesty of the ocean – a navy to cobalt blue glitter ombré.
Each nail strip set retails for $13 and $14 and is available on colorstreet.com.
