Procedure | |
Place butters and oil (phase A) into main vessel. Heat contents to approximately 70°C while mixing. Add phase B to the batch and make sure mixture is homogenous, then immediately cool to obtain best results. Do not expose fragrance to a prolonged period of heating. Cooling rate should be rapid (preferably using a heat exchanger to obtain the smoothest body butter balm). Fill product into jars or tins and immediately place into a cool room for 24 hours. | |
Properties | |
Body balm formulas differ in feel and hardness. Variation in consistency may be achieved by changing the ratio of butters to oil to stearic acid. | |
