ATHENS: Safe ‘N’ Beautiful, creator of Snails, a non-toxic, washable nail polish line for kids, has won a Greek Exports Award 2014 in the New Export Business category.
Held at a gala dinner on the closing night of the Greek Exports Conference last year, the awards honor companies that have achieved outstanding success in penetrating international markets and which contribute to boosting productivity, competitiveness and employment in the Greek economy.
Founded by British entrepreneur Jeanette Sklivanou three years ago, the company has carved out a specialist niche in the global market of cosmetics for kids. Its washable and safe nail collections have achieved a record 496% growth in sales this year alone which its founder attributes to growing concern over the safety of conventional nail polishes and removers.
The award celebrates the success of its eco-friendly Snails signature line of polishes and the newly launched S’N’B Wash Off luxury range for women. Now available in more than 965 retail, duty free and online outlets across 38 countries, the constantly evolving collections feature fashion-forward polishes and nail care treatments.
“Receiving this award and recognition from the Greek government and business community is a huge honor for us,” said Sklivanou, founder and CEO. “We are immensely proud to have achieved such a large international presence in such a short period of time—which speaks to the huge appeal our products have for women and children around the world. We aim to continue innovating and developing products that have health, beauty and fashion at their core.”
