Carrubba, a leading supplier of flavors, fragrances and botanical extracts, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. In addition, the company is breaking ground on a new, 45,000-sq.-ft. facility in Monroe, CT.
“Our new facility will give us the room to expand our business and house updated equipment resulting in an increase in production and capability to handle our customers’ orders,” explained Duane Michael Carrubba, the company’s CEO.
In addition, the new facility will include more storage and a new computer system. According to Carrubba, the expansion solidifies the company’s commitment to high quality products, great customer service and on time delivery.
Since its inception, there have always been two generations of the family employed at Carrubba at the same time. The company was founded by Duane’s father, Philip Carrubba, and Duane’s older brother, Philip Carrubba Jr. Philip served as Carrubba’s CEO until 2014 when he succumbed to cancer.
Today, Damon Sementelli, the nephew of the founder, serves as company spokesman.
