Craig Rouskey

Personalized probiotic company Floré tapped Craig Rouskey as chief executive officer.

Rouskey joins Floré from renegade.bio where, as co-founder and CEO, he led a team of scientists and entrepreneurs to provide rapid and cost-effective COVID-19 diagnostic testing.

Rouskey is a seasoned business leader and scientist with over 20 years of experience in molecular biology, molecular and cellular immunology and medical microbiology. Having founded and led several biotech and wellness companies throughout his career, Rouskey brings his expertise in business development, market strategy and product growth to the Floré team.

“As someone deeply passionate about the power of personalized health, I’m honored to step into the role of CEO at Floré and begin a shared vision for new standards of wellness,” said Rouskey. “Our commitment to delivering customized probiotic solutions isn’t just about innovation—it’s about proven results that truly transform lives. I’m excited to lead our talented team in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in gut health, ensuring that each product we create is as unique as the individuals we serve.”

Floré, a San Diego-based biotech company, is focused on helping consumers feel their best from the inside out with a line of pre-, pro- and postbiotics tailored to an individual’s unique gut microbiome. Utilizing an at-home gut health test kit, individuals can receive a personalized plan and product that fits their unique routine and gut health needs.

Rouskey is responsible for leading the Floré team and partnering with an extensive network of microbiologists, gut health experts, scientists and clinicians to offer microbiome solutions. In this role, Rouskey is set to expand the overall reach of Floré and oversee strategic growth as the company leads the way to provide precision custom synbiotics and gut health solutions in clinical and consumer markets. He succeeds Sunny Jain, founder and former CEO of Floré following a three-month transitional period where the two refined the company’s goals, growth strategy and business model.

In the coming months, Rouskey aims to legitimize Floré’s clinical programs by deepening partnerships with clinical providers, fortifying the direct to consumer platform and leveraging the capabilities of well-established partners to better serve communities through all channels. Rouskey intends on ushering in a wave of sustainability that enables Floré to improve its services and grow while also leveling up offerings to address the gut wellness issues of a broader population.
