Mary Kay Inc. appointed Sheryl Adkins-Green vice president of brand development to lead the company’s global product strategy. In this role, Adkins-Green will oversee the development of Mary Kay products, which are currently sold in more than 35 global markets.
Before joining Mary Kay Inc., Ms. Adkins-Green was general manager and vice president of Pro-Line International, Alberto-Culver’s multicultural beauty business unit. She was responsible for overseeing global sales and marketing, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. Prior to that, she was senior vice president of marketing for the Snapple Beverage Group at Cadbury Schweppes, and also held senior positions in the global consumer division at Citigroup.

In 2008, Ms. Adkins-Green was named one of the “25 Influential Black Women in Business” by The Network Journal. Ms. Adkins-Green graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin, with a degree in fashion retailing, and she also holds an MBA in marketing and finance from Harvard Graduate School of Business. Ms. Adkins-Green and her husband have two children and live in Dallas.
