Fusion Brands America Inc., a boutique luxury beauty firm behind Clean Fragrances and Fusion Beauty, has named Gregory Black president. He will be responsible for all aspects of the company's domestic and global operations including supervising a network of more than 30 international distributors.
"Fusion Brands is entering a new era with an overall emphasis on strategic growth. We will do this through the introduction of a refreshed and expanded product line, by recapturing our once strong presence in the United States and by accelerating the build out of our ecommerce business," said the company's executive chairman Eugene Melnyk. "Greg is intimately familiar with all aspects of our company's operations and finances making him the perfect candidate to lead Clean Fragrances and Fusion Beauty through our next exciting phase of growth and product development."
Black, who has been with the firm since 2001, will focus on growing lean and Fusion Beauty by leveraging each of their core equities and unique positioning into new, relevant product categories. And, to continue the company's double-digit growth, he plans to re-establish the US as a key market not only by expanding brick and mortar presence but also by returning the brands to television shopping, placing a stronger focus on ecommerce.
Previously, Black spent more than 18 years building global beauty brands. He had classic brand management training early in his career at Revlon followed by several years of marketing Coty Beauty's traditional fragrances. After Coty, Black was a founding executive team member of the US mass-market subsidiary for the Puig Group.
