Swiss American CDMO, Dallas, was ranked No. 2039 on the 2019 Inc. 5000 list. The list recognizes revenue growth from 2015-2018 among US-based, privately held, independent companies.
For more than 30 years, Dallas-based Swiss-American has helped build popular brands using a unique blend of marketplace insight, scientific formulation and quality-driven lean manufacturing expertise. Swiss-American was one of three skin care/personal care manufacturers to make the list and the only skin care manufacturer with revenue exceeding $50 million.
"Swiss-American has been in a period of strategic growth over the last several years and we are honored to rank on the Inc. 5000 list this year," said Phil O’Neill, CEO of Swiss-American. “Our team members are seen as innovation drivers in the skin and wound care industries, and this ranking is the result of their efforts.”
Swiss-American’s advances in developing and manufacturing superior topical sun, skin and wound care products has led to its compound annual growth rate of more than 43% over the past three years. The company says its advanced library of topical formulations, digital/smart/lean manufacturing and strong partnerships have enabled this growth.
“Our team constantly identifies market and medical needs and creates innovative topical solutions for a variety of disease states, therapeutic areas and global marketplaces,” said Komel Grover, president of Swiss-American. “Our long-standing collaborations with dermatologic thought leaders and academic centers of excellence enable us to generate outcomes that differentiate Swiss-American from our competition, most notably, for sun care, skin care and wound care.”
One of Swiss-American’s most prominent customers is the EltaMD, a sunscreen and skin care line, which was acquired from Swiss-American by Colgate-Palmolive in January 2018.
