Experience the eclectic colors of Ciudad de Mexico (CDMX) for Spring 2020 with the Mexico City Collection by OPI, which draws inspiration from the city’s art and fashion scenes, trendy locales, award-winning cuisine and exploration of individual self-expression.
“At OPI, travel has always been one of our greatest inspirations,” explained OPI co-founder and brand ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “Now more than ever, we’re seeing women, especially millennials, putting greater value in traveling regularly and experiencing new cultures, so it was only a matter of time before we turned to Mexico City as one of today’s must-see global destinations.”
Informed by Native Art
OPI partnered with native Mexican artist, muralist and illustrator, Sofia Castellanos, to further capture Mexico City’s vibrant art scene for this collection. “Paint the World you´re proud to live in. Mexico is a powerful and magical place, I´d like that when people see the art we created, they connect with our Mexican warmth, I want to show them our outgoing, optimistic and fearless side, and their hearts with our unique colors,” stated Castellanos.
Castellanos’ artwork can be seen on select packaging, throughout the campaign and also for a mural in Mexico City.
The Mexico City Collection offers the ability to express individual identity through 12 new shades in classic Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor formulas, as well as six of those colors available in Powder Perfection.

Beginning February 2020, Nail Lacquers will retail for $10.50 each and Infinite Shine colors will retail for $13 each at Professional Salons, as well as Beauty Brands, Chatters, Dillard’s, Hudson’s Bay, Regis, Sally Beauty, ULTA and Amazon Beauty.
