Comments: The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Lake Success, New York. The company’s mission has continued to evolve since its founding, with health and wellness being the core tenet. Its focus is on organic and natural, “better-for-you” products
Last year, the company formulated with some trendy wellness ingredients such as cannabis sativa and apple cider vinegar, as seen with recent launches from both its Jason and Alba Botanica brands.
Also last year, in December, Javier H. Idrovo joined the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He has an extensive background in corporate finance, strategy, and business development with nearly 30 years of executive leadership, strategy formulation and oversight, financial planning and analysis, accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury experience. Prior to joining Hain Celestial, Idrovo held leadership positions at The Hershey Company.
Hain Celestial is looking to improve on its conditions for 2020, as fiscal 2019 corporate sales fell 6.3% to $2.3 billion.
President and CEO Mark L. Schiller noted that the company’s transformation plan is taking hold, and food-at-home consumption is accelerating.
“Across our organization, we are taking necessary safety measures to best manage our business in the current operating environment as we continue to deliver against our transformational strategic plan,” said Schiller. “I am proud of how Hain associates across the globe rose to the occasion to partner with our valued customers and suppliers to deliver for our consumers and local communities in the face of unprecedented global challenges. As a result of the actions we have taken, we are well positioned to manage through this unprecedented crisis and emerge an even stronger company.”
