That 1980s hair cut. Hangover shots. 7th grade portraits. Now there is a way to clean house on all those unfortunate photos that show up on Facebook.
Sun Products Corp. has created Wisk-It, a new Facebook application designed to stop friends from airing your "dirty laundry" online by sending a request for them to wash away certain photos.
The new Wisk-themed application allows users to search tagged, untagged and de-tagged photos of themselves in their friends' Facebook albums and provides a direct and efficient way to request their exclusion from those albums, according to the Wilton, CT-based firm which owns Wisk as well as All, Surf and Snuggle laundry care products.
"As an expert in stain fighting, we have created the Wisk-It application to help people clean up stains on their digital reputations," said Elisa Gurevich, Wisk brand manager. "Whether the 'wash away' request is light-hearted or serious, the Wisk-It application is a useful tool for all Facebook users."
