The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Conair Corp. have issued a voluntary recall of two models of the Lysol Steam Cleaning Mop.
According to CPSC, hot water mixed with Lysol can forcefully spurt out and rupture the housing unit, posing burn and laceration hazards to users.
Conair—which has received 14 reports of hot water forcefully spilling out of the water reservoir compartment including two minor burn injuries to consumers who sought medical attention—is asking consumers to stop using the recalled models and contact them for a free replacement.
