Firmenich has partnered with Pantone to create a unique fragrance inspired by Pantone Color of the Year for 2023, Pantone 18-1750 Viva Magenta. The fragrance, Live Bold Eau de Parfum, is said to capture the exuberance, optimism and rebellious spirit of Viva Magenta. It contains Dragon Fruit Smell-the-Taste, which Firmenich contends gives emotion and texture to its fragrance creations, as well as accords of beet and magenta vetiver.
Firmenich created Live Bold using its EmotiOn program to guide the development of a fragrance with true feeling. Both the fragrance, as well as the Live Bold candle Firmenich created, are powered by Emotiwaves Energy, a collection of 100% percent natural essential oils. Additionally, the candle is also powered with Emotiboost Energy, a special accord that will boost the fragrance to generate the expected emotional response, according to the company.
The eau de parfum fragrance has a AAA-score on EcoScent Compass, the company’s proprietary tool that measures a fragrance’s sustainability footprint.
Earlier this year, Firmenich partnered with trend agency LSN Future Laboratory to identify prevailing trends and explore sensory partnerships that will elevate olfactive innovation, according to Ilaria Resta, president for global perfumery at Firmenich.
“Our report showed that strength and optimism, characteristics expressed by Viva Magenta, were core values that we should embrace in the future. And by creating Live Bold, we have found the perfect olfactive representation to bring those values to life,” said Resta.
