One Love Organics’ success is attributed to a rising enclave of consumers who crave natural personal care—a market worth nearly $30 billion globally and growing at double-digit rates, according to findings at Kline & Company. Skin care remains the biggest product class by value.
According to the Love Organics founder Suzanne LeRoux, “We have found that health conscious consumers choose natural and organic beauty products that reflect their wellness lifestyle. This consumer is very connected and committed to the best and latest in nutrition, fitness, beauty and wellness. The health conscious consumer is looking for beauty products that mirror their values and are safe, effective and contribute to good health.”
One Love Organics recently earned the license to manufacture natural and organic cosmetics under Ecocert standards. Established in 1991 by French biological farmers, and in the 20 years since, Ecocert then has become the most significant independent certification institution operating in 80 countries.
This year, the independent personal care brand is repackaging its products and releasing a number of new items, including Oh Mega Chia Hydration Facial Oil, Coconut + Salt Lotion, and a beauty blogger special SKU called Elizabeth Dehn for One Love Organics Vitamin C Body Polish.
According to LeRoux, who after five years of moonlighting as a beauty alchemist took up the cosmetic arts full time, “One Love Organics is a natural, ethical and environmentally driven skin care company created by skilled cosmetic artisans. We manufacture our skin care in small batches and personally ensure that our one-of-a-kind formulas are carefully (and beautifully) crafted from start to finish for quality that is second to none.”
LeRoux also noted that at One Love, in its quest to create the “perfect” skin care line—“we started with a simple premise: use only the highest quality, most effective ingredients that directly benefit the skin. One Love Organics contains only the finest, most effective ingredients on the market—like our award–winning organic chia supercritical extract, farm fresh Bulgarian rose oil, and clinically proven D’Orientine S.”
Sustainable packaging is a key component of the brand, added LeRoux. She told Happi.com, “Our approach to packaging is: simplify where possible; utilize the most effective materials; minimize the impact on the environment; always strive to be true to the brand (and personal) values; and never forget the benefit to the customer.”
In addition to Ecocert, One Love Organics successfully completed an evaluation by the Green America Standards Committee and the company was awarded the Gold Certified Business Seal in 2014.
According to LeRoux, “As the natural and organic beauty marketplace becomes increasingly crowded, a trusted and recognizable seal is quickly becoming a top factor for buying decisions with the health conscious consumer.”
The brand reached out to its fan base with a blog at www.oneloveorganics.com as well as video tutorials and other company updates tapping into the latest beauty trends.
Products are sold in retail all over the US as well as online at shopping hubs such as www.anthropologie.com, www.3floz.com, www.dermstore.com and others.
