Skin feel and sensory performance are crucial aspects in the development of cosmetic products. To that end, there is a continuing education course that will offer an introduction to sensory characterization of cosmetic emulsions on Oct. 10 in Newark, NJ. In this one-day interactive course, participants will learn about the various types of sensory testing available to the industry, including their advantages and their drawbacks.
Later in the day, participants will have the chance to design a product based on a product brief, and then do a sensory analysis on the product.
Instructed by Gabriella Baki, PhD of University of Toledo and Mark Chandler of ACT Solutions Corp., this course will be useful for scientists, sales people and cosmetic marketers alike, including formulators, quality control chemists and product development professionals. Raw material sales people will also benefit from learning about sensory testing.
