Lush Cosmetics is making a hard decision regarding egg-based products—but it wasn't an easy one. The company posted on its Instagram that it is going "egg-free" because even the very best egg production msy cause animal suffering. Lush replaced eggs with ingredients such as linseed and aquafaba, soy yogurt, and wheat gluten and have ensured consumers that they will still get the best results.
According to RaiseVegan, a few Lush products will not be vegan-friendly as they contain lanolin or honey. Lush has removed egg from the seven products. including D’fluff strawberry shaving soap, Hair Custard hair dressing, Curly Wurly shampoo, Jersey Bounce shampoo, H’suan Wen Hua hair treatment, Brazened fresh face mask, and Cosmetic Warrior fresh face mask.
